President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will personally inaugurate several major projects across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as part of celebrations marking his second year in office.
This was announced by FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike, during a press briefing in Abuja following an inspection of completed infrastructure within the city.

Wike revealed that the commissioning activities will commence on Tuesday, immediately after the Salah holiday, starting with the revamped International Conference Centre.
According to the Minister, the President is set to personally commission 10 key projects, including roads, public buildings, and other urban infrastructure.
Additionally, Vice President Kashim Shettima will stand in for the President to commission three projects, while Senate President Godswill Akpabio and House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas will each commission two projects, including those located in the area councils.
Wike highlighted the administration’s intent to extend development to satellite towns, allowing residents there to feel the impact of federal governance firsthand.
“I can tell you Mr. President has agreed to commission one or two projects in the satellite towns, the Vice President will commission and then the Senate President will commission.
“All of them will have a feeling to go to the satellite towns and let the people see that for the first time, they can feel the impact of governance from the federal level and then see their president and the leadership of the country.
“In total, 17 projects are ready, although some may be inaugurated later due to time constraints” Wike noted
He also thanked President Tinubu for the opportunity to bring the “Renewed Hope Agenda” to life within the FCT.
