In a bid to improve healthcare delivery in underserved communities, the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Taraba State Branch, in collaboration with the Northeast Development Commission (NEDC), organized a three Days free medical and surgical outreach program in Ardo Kola Local Government Area,Taraba state
The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Taraba State Branch, in collaboration with the Northeast Development Commission (NEDC), successfully conducted a free medical and surgical outreach to the underserved and hard to reach communities of Ardo Kola Local Government Area.
Free medical screenings were conducted for various health conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, and malaria.
This initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services to vulnerable populations.
In his opening remarks, the chairman Nigeria medical association NMA taraba state branch ,Dr Adamu hamidu Kara,said the main aim of the program is to provide medical care delivery for the underserved.
The Chairman Ardo kola,Alhj Isimaila zakari in his speech thanked the Doctors for their efforts to enrich the lives of the people with medical delivery they deserve.
He also emphasized the need for the people of ardo kola to corporate with the medical team to ensure a successful delivery.
Alhj Ismailia Zakari also pleaded with the NMA taraba state branch team to add days so that all the people of ardo kola should benefit the outreach.
Patients who benefited from the program shared their experiences.
The NMA Taraba State Branch and NEDC’s collaborative effort successfully provided essential healthcare services to underserved communities in Ardo Kola LGA.
This initiative demonstrates the importance of publicprivate partnerships in improving healthcare outcomes for vulnerable populations.
