Kano Tycoon Aminu Dantata Dies at 94

Prominent Kano businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, has died at the age of 94.

According to a family source, the respected elder statesman passed away late Friday night in a hospital in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, following a short illness.

Dantata was widely recognized as one of Nigeria’s leading figures in business and philanthropy, with a decades-long legacy of investments, charitable initiatives, and contributions to the nation’s economic growth.

As of  Saturday morning, the family had not yet released details of the funeral arrangements.
