Prof. Benjamin Kefas Assumes Office as Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Wukari.

Prof. Benjamin Kefas has officially taken over as the new Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Wukari (FUW), Taraba State.

The formal handover took place on Tuesday in Abuja, where the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Jude Sammani Rabo, transferred leadership to his successor.

Prof. Kefas’ appointment was approved and announced by the Governing Council of the Federal University Wukari at an emergency meeting held on 9 February 2026 at the Secretariat of the Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities in Abuja.

At the same meeting, the Council also approved the appointment of Dr. Temboge Andrew as the new University Librarian.

The appointments followed the expiration of the five-year tenures of the former Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Jude Sammani Rabo, and the former University Librarian, Dr. Isa Sidi Attahir.
