Headline; Bauchi to begin compulsory polio vaccination for intending pilgrims
The Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board in collaboration with the State Primary Healthcare Development Agency has disclosed arrangement to commence polio vaccinations for intending pilgrims on Monday, April 28, 2025.

Disclosing the development during a press briefing in his office on Saturday, the board’s Executive Secretary, Abdulrahman Ibrahim, explained that the vaccination will be administered at every local government primary healthcare agency in the state, starting at 10am.
He said, the vaccination is compulsory for all intending pilgrims as required by the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Hajj Affairs.
He emphasised that the board will ensure every intending pilgrim receives the vaccine before departing for Saudi Arabia.
Abdulrahman said, the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Hajj Affairs has made it mandatory for all pilgrims to receive the polio vaccine before entering the holy land.
He revealed that The Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board is working closely with the State Primary Healthcare development and other Healthcare agencies to ensure a smooth and successful vaccination process.
Intending pilgrims are advised to report to their local government primary healthcare agency on Monday for the vaccination.
