The Taraba State Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change, Haj. Aishat A. Barde (Zinariyan Mummuye), has lauded Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas for what she described as “uncommon leadership, mentorship, patience, and guidance” in steering the affairs of the state during a period marked by both challenges and opportunities.
Speaking in a statement on Tuesday, the commissioner said true leadership is measured not only by the decisions taken but also by the compassion shown to the people. She noted that serving under Governor Kefas’ administration was not just a duty but an honour, commending his vision for a united Taraba, a stronger economy, and a future where the state would not only be counted among the best in Nigeria but also shine as a beacon in West Africa.
“His humility and openness inspire me every day to work harder for the progress of our land,” she said.
Haj. Barde also joined the governor in appealing to the people of Taraba to offer prayers for the speedy recovery of the ailing Deputy Governor, Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Alkali.
She described the deputy governor as more than a leader to her personally, calling him “a fatherly figure whose kindness, wisdom, and humility have touched countless lives across the state.”
She expressed confidence that God, “the Great Healer,” would grant him full restoration of health, renew his strength, and surround his family with comfort and peace in this difficult moment.
The commissioner emphasised that the strength of Taraba lies in its unity, urging citizens to rise above politics, religious affiliations, and cultural differences to work together for the state’s progress.
“With God’s guidance, the dedication of our leaders, and the resilience of our people, Taraba will rise stronger and more prosperous than ever,” she stated.
Haj. Aisha Barde concluded with prayers for divine blessings on Governor Kefas, healing for the Deputy Governor, and continued peace and progress for Taraba State.
