Taraba Governorship aspirant for the 2023 general elections, Professor Jerome Nyame has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the will of the people and to selfless service for the development of Taraba State.
He made this known during an appearance on Guest of the Week on Haske TV, where he spoke on his recent resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Professor Jerome Nyameh recently announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, a political platform he has been part of since 1999.He cited internal party wranglings and irreconcilable differences as the main reasons for his decision to step aside.
The professor however noted that throughout his time in the PDP, he remained committed to its ideals and consistently pursued the common good of both the party and the state at large.
According to him, the decision to leave the PDP was not a personal one but a collective move endorsed by his people. He stressed that he remains a servant of the people and will continue to align with their aspirations for development and progress.
Speaking about his next political direction, Professor Nyameh explained that any decision going forward will be shaped by serious consultations, thoughtful deliberations, and a consensus rooted in the people’s best interest.
Speaking as an academic, Professor Nyameh also shared insights on the state of education in Nigeria. He pointed out that for the system to thrive, there must be adequate funding, improved infrastructure, and sufficient skilled manpower.
He concluded by urging young Nigerians to embrace responsibility, remain accountable for their actions, and understand that every meaningful achievement is the result of deliberate, focused effort.
