Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has assured citizens that his administration will henceforth be guided by results rather than sentiments in its approach to governance.
Speaking during a town hall meeting on Thursday to mark his two-year anniversary in office, Governor Kefas reaffirmed his commitment to delivering impactful, people-centered development.

“Governance will no longer be driven by emotion or favoritism. We will be judged by the outcomes of our actions, and the progress we bring to the lives of the people,” he stated.
Reflecting on the achievements of his administration so far, Governor Kefas emphasized that much has been done, but there is still more to accomplish.
Among the major accomplishments, he listed the construction of the Jalingo Ultra-Modern Market, a functional Trailer Park, renovation works at the College of Agriculture in Jalingo, and the upgrade of Danbaba Suntai Airport—recently commissioned by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
He further highlighted the construction of 60 modern schools across the state to improve education standards, free and compulsory primary and secondary education, a 50% reduction in tuition fees at the tertiary level and the deployment of hundreds of patrol vehicles and modern tracking tools to enhance security

On public service reforms, the governor noted,“We have introduced transformative changes, implemented the new minimum wage structure, ensured prompt salary payments, cleared salary arrears from 2010 to 2013, and provided operational funds for all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).”
Looking ahead, Governor Kefas announced several strategic plans, including: Monthly public briefings by the Ministry of Information, Full transparency through the Taraba Geographic Information System (TAGIS), Strengthening the tourism industry, Boosting agribusiness and vocational training, Recognizing the contributions of “unsung heroes”—teachers, farmers, healthcare workers, youth, and mothers.
The governor thanked the people of Taraba for their support and trust over the past two years and reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to transformative governance.
He also appreciated constructive criticism from citizens, noting that it plays a vital role in sustaining democracy.
