Two hundred-level students of the Mass Communication Department, Muwanshat College of Health Science and Technology, Jalingo has organised a cultural event aimed at promoting the rich cultural heritage of Taraba State.
The event, themed Promoting Cultural Heritage in Taraba State, was part of the students’ Media Workshop course and attracted the attention of management, staff, and students of the college, as well as invited guests.
Addressing the gathering, the Provost of the College, Abdulmajid Khalid, expressed appreciation to the students for the initiative.
He announced that, henceforth, the Mass Communication Department will take the lead in organizing the institution’s Students’ Week.
In his remarks, the Registrar of the college, Musa Jibrin, commended the organisers, describing the event as a vital step toward promoting peaceful coexistence.
He said the celebration of cultural diversity, as demonstrated by the students, reflects the inclusive spirit of Taraba State.
The event featured colourful cultural dances, drama presentations, and exhibitions that showcased the traditions of the various ethnic groups in the state.
