Taraba State Government is taking immediate action to address the delayed payments of May salaries for some civil servants across the state.
As contained in an official statement signed by the Head of Civil Service, Dr. Hamidu Ahmed Kara, the government expressed deep regret over the inconvenience caused to affected workers.
Part of the statement reads, “The Taraba State Government sincerely regrets the inconveniences caused to civil servants who have not received their salaries for the month of May 2025.
“While appreciating your patience and understanding as we work closely with labour to resolve these issues, I wish to appeal to the affected civil servants who are yet to receive their payment, underpaid, or wrongly placed to report to their respective MDAs immediately.
“The responsible Permanent Secretaries, Secretaries, and Staff Officers are directed to submit the list of all affected persons on or before Thursday, June 12th to the Committee Chairman for verification, clearance, and immediate payment” the statement read.
Dr. Kara extended appreciation to the civil servants for their patience and cooperation as the state works with labour unions to resolve the situation.
He also assured that those whose claims are verified will receive their payments immediately.
